TERMS & CONDITIONS

At Peruvian Traditions S.A.C., every project is developed with care, transparency, and respect for the people, materials, and processes behind each garment. Our work is guided by fair trade principles, responsible sourcing, ethical production, and long-term collaboration with our workshops and artisan communities.

These Terms & Conditions help us ensure a clear, organized, and responsible development and production process for both our clients and our production partners.

1.- QUOTATION VALIDITY
All quotations are valid for 15 calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, prices, yarn availability, lead times, and production conditions may need to be reviewed and reconfirmed.

2.- PROTOTYPE AND SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT
Prototype and sample development must be paid 100% in advance in order to begin. Prototype lead time is estimated between 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the garment, technique, finishing, fur application, yarn availability, and workshop capacity.

3.- PRODUCTION PAYMENT TERMS

  • To start production, Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. must receive confirmation of the 50% advance payment of the Production Order.

  • Production begins only once the payment has been received and confirmed in Peruvian Traditions S.A.C.’s bank account. International wire transfers may take approximately 3 to 4 additional business days to be reflected in our account.

  • The remaining 50% balance must be paid and confirmed before shipment.

  • All payments must be received in full. Any bank fees, transfer fees, or intermediary bank charges must be covered by the client.

  • All SWIFT bank wires must be sent using the “OUR” payment instruction, meaning all transfer and intermediary bank fees are covered by the client. Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. must receive the full invoice amount in its bank account.

  • We do not work with credit terms.

4.- PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES

  • Production lead time is estimated between 4 to 20 weeks, depending on the quantity, number of colors, complexity of the garments, availability of yarns, trims, and workshop schedule.

  • Lead times included in the Time & Action Plan (T&A) and Work in Progress (WIP) reports are estimates and may be adjusted as production moves forward.

  • All lead times are approximate and must be reconfirmed during the development and production process.

5.- PRODUCTION SCHEDULING & CAPACITY

  • Production slots are scheduled on a first come, first served basis and are confirmed only once the required advance payment has been received.

  • Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. works with a wide production line that includes sampling, prototype development, yarn sourcing, knitting, finishing, quality control, and export coordination. Due to this structure, lead times may vary depending on workshop capacity and seasonal demand.

  • Please note that May to December is considered our peak production season. During this period, lead times may vary and delays may occur due to high demand, yarn availability, workshop capacity, finishing schedules, or export coordination.

  • For this reason, early confirmation of orders is highly recommended in order to secure yarns, production slots, and delivery timelines.

6.- YARN AVAILABILITY

  • Yarn availability depends on the stock service and lead times of the yarn mills. Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. cannot guarantee yarn stock until the corresponding payment has been confirmed and the yarn has been secured.

  • If a yarn is no longer available in stock service, replacement lead times may range from approximately 7 to 10 weeks, depending on the yarn factory.

  • Special blends, seasonal colors, eco yarns, natural dyed yarns, and custom-developed yarns that are not available in stock service may require a yarn production lead time of approximately 8 to 12 weeks, depending on fiber availability, dyeing process, and mill schedule.

7.- NATURAL DYED YARNS

  • Natural dyed yarns and garments may present color variations between batches. A color difference of up to approximately 15% may occur, as the dyeing inputs come from natural sources and are not chemically standardized.

  • Natural dyed yarns and knitted pieces may not be 100% identical from one batch to another. These variations are part of the natural dyeing process and should be considered an inherent characteristic of the product.

8.- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND CHANGES

  • If the client requests changes to the garment after the prototype has been developed or approved, a new prototype may be required before production.

  • This new prototype may be considered the production reference or head of production. Additional costs and extra lead time may apply.

  • Approximate additional lead time for a new prototype: 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the requested changes and workshop availability.

9.- MEASUREMENTS AND TOLERANCE

  • All garments are carefully produced following the approved measurements and technical specifications.

  • Due to the nature of knitwear, natural fibers, handmade processes, and finishing treatments, a measurement tolerance of approximately +/- 1 to 2 cm may apply.

  • This tolerance is considered within international knitwear production standards.

10.- CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS

  • All products are custom-made according to the client’s approved design, yarn, color, measurements, and production specifications. For this reason, returns, exchanges, or refunds are not accepted once the order has been confirmed and production has started.

11.- LABELS, HANG TAGS, TRIMS, AND PACKAGING

  • Production pricing may include standard care/composition labels and poly bags.

  • International Alpaca Association hang tags may be included when applicable according to the fiber composition and when confirmed in the quotation.

  • Additional items such as branded labels, buttons, special trims, custom hang tags, cotton bags, or special packaging are quoted separately based on the client’s selection, measurements, materials, and quantities.

12.- SHIPPING

  • All shipping costs must be covered by the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • International shipping, courier fees, duties, taxes, customs charges, and destination handling fees are the responsibility of the client.

  • Shipment will only be arranged once the final payment has been received and confirmed.

13.- PAYMENT DELAYS

  • Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. is not responsible for delays caused by late payments, delayed wire transfers, missing payment confirmations, or incomplete payment amounts.

  • Any delay in payment may affect yarn availability, workshop scheduling, production lead times, and shipping dates.

14.- FORCE MAJEURE

Peruvian Traditions S.A.C. is not responsible for delays, additional costs, or delivery changes caused by force majeure events or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, political instability, transport disruptions, customs delays, supplier delays, yarn mill delays, or other unexpected events.

15.- ORDER CONFIRMATION
By confirming a prototype, sample, or production order, the client accepts the quotation, payment terms, production conditions, estimated lead times, yarn availability conditions, and all terms stated above.
