OUR story

Peruvian Traditions was established from an unwavering passion for the world's finest materials, a commitment to high quality, and a deep focus on social and environmental sustainability.

Siblings and founders of Peruvian Traditions, Claudia and Carlos Cordero Berkovic, embarked on a journey into a world of colors and textures, captivated by the remarkable versatility and excellence of alpaca yarn. Motivated by their vision, they decided to undertake several research trips through the Andes of Peru. Their goal was to discover the best craftsmen, raw materials, and suppliers, with the aim of providing customers with superior manufacturing solutions using alpaca fiber.

Countless individuals drive our company's success — from our dedicated team in Peru to artisans in workshops across Arequipa, Cusco, and Lima. The essence of our achievements lies in the people forming the backbone of our operations. Our network of 14 workshops, involving over 120 families, predominantly in Arequipa, Cusco, and Lima, embodies the best craftsmanship of Peru. Approximately 40% are women. Making a positive impact in our community and the workshops of master craftsmen, while respecting our mother earth, is fundamental to us.

NORGÄTE ALPACA BRAND

Our collections are created specially thinking of cold weather around the world. Here in Peru we are grateful to have this wonderful family of South American camelids such as Alpaca, Vicuna, Lama and Huanaco. These animals tolerate harsh climatic conditions that include temperature variations with less than 40F° degrees in a single day. Because of the high altitudes of their natural habitat, this fiber is extremely thermal and durable. alpaca clothing

We create each of our garments with the finest alpaca fiber of our country, with textile communities in the Andes of Peru, dedicated to the breeding and preservation of these species.

Our luxury alpaca and vicuna garments are handmade and machine-made, of high quality and durability. We use ancestral Inca techniques fused with modern technology which gives us a unique product in the world. Alpaca clothing is alpaca clothes and uses the best fiber alpaca.

Alpaca clothing is alpaca clothes and uses the best fiber alpaca.
